The Easter Message and a Problem

Very truly I tell you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be judged but has crossed over from death to life. –Jesus

I am so glad Easter is here because I have a problem.

You see, I am a new blogger. Recently I have been stuck about what to blog. I am a mother, so I know a bit about mothering.  I am a teacher. so I know a bit about teaching.  I am a writer, so, I know a bit about writing.  I am a minister’s wife, so I know a bit about ministry.  I am a church member, so I know a bit about the church.  I am a music director, so I know a bit about music. I am a Christian, and I know a bit about the Bible.  I am married, so I know a bit about marriage.  I am from a big family, so I know a bit about siblings.

Jack of all trades, but master of none? Possibly.  I know I should “find a need and fill it.”  I procrastinate, however, because I can not settle on which need. And, I wonder if I have the resources to “fill it.”  Woe is me! Woe is me!  Woe is me! Blogging, ugh, ugh, ugh.

Hence, I am glad it is Easter!  I am sold on the Easter message.

If Easter has you confused.  Here it is.

Jesus is the exact representation of God.  He came in the flesh to build a bridge between himself and mankind.  He came to tell us that He LOVES US ALL THE SAME.  He wants to spend eternity with us–his children.  It is simple, really.  Look at creation. Look at the church in the world (hospitals, colleges, nursing homes, children’s homes, missionaries, orphanages, cathedrals…the list is endless and worldwide).  Ask Christ to show himself to you–to open your eyes and your heart to receive his love and forgiveness.  Then get your ticket for Heaven.  Here is how:

Pray: Lord, Jesus, I have sinned and fallen short of your glorious ideal.  (All of us have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.)

I ask you to forgive my sins. ( If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive our sins. )

In appreciation for your gifts of life, forgiveness, and eternity, I happily make you my Lord and Saviour. (God loved the world so much that He gave us his only Son. Whoever believes in him will have eternal life.)

Finally, regardless of what you feel, tell Him, “Thank you. ” (The just shall live by faith).

It is an epic story–God dying to prove HIs love for his kids.  His kids coming home….

Who knows? This may be the only blog I ever need.

HAPPY EASTER, EVERYBODY!
